Sensitivity-- April 1st

“Paul, looking intently at the Council, said, “Brethren, I have lived my life with a perfectly good conscience before God up to this day.”ACTS 23:1
God’s love for us is like a symphony that makes us want to sing and dance with joy. “Music enchants the deep places of the soul because music reveals to the soul that unseen forces have power to inspire, shake, and rattle our core. Music drives the soul. God drives the music”. No wonder worship on the roof of a houseboat in the midst of His beautiful creation or a dance party where you can look like a fool connects us with our community and makes our hearts content. We can find freedom, joy, and hope in worship and surrender to Christ. As Jesus plays His melody over us, He wipes away tears of sorrow, instills joy in our hearts, grabs us by our hands and asks us to dance with Him. We have the option to submit and say “yes! Jesus, I will live in your ways”, or we can reject His invitation. Dancing is tiresome and sometimes uncomfortable, but Jesus never leaves us to dance on our own. One of my favorite musicians, Jon Foreman, writes, “This is the meaning of life
You were born for the dance not the fight”.
Jesus reaches His hand out every day and extends the invitation to dance with Him. The clear conscious moments come when we give Him our hands and bodies and choose to surrender. They are moments when we live in the way God has called us to: love and serve others.

Lord, help me surrender to your ways and show me where I resist you. Would I choose to dance with joy in my heart and with you by my side, showing me the way.
