Strength and Firmness

I was struck by the last line in today's devotional: "Our moments are not empty but instead pregnant with Christ, the Logos, the eternal meaning that floods our dead hearts and dead moments with faith, hope, and love, which remain...eternally."

In the past few weeks, I've often found myself lamenting the loss of plans I had made and exciting things I was anticipating. The temptation to despair and see this time of staying home as a waste is always present, and yet I've been encouraged by the fact that all of our moments, even those tainted by the ever present threat of decay and death, are redeemed and made full in Christ. By surrendering my desire to control my life and trusting Him, I am liberated from my worry in order to fully experience His love.
