Passion

Mary then took a pound of very costly perfume of pure nard and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped His feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. JOHN 12:3

This verse is an excellent example of how we should all be constantly pursuing a relationship with God and worshiping Him not half-heartedly, but with everything we have in us. This verse stood out to me because  I feel like I have been forgetting to look for sign's of God's presence in the world, and worrying about everything instead of putting my complete trust in Him. Reading this verse today reminded me that I will get nowhere if I just worry and try to take control in life, and instead pour myself out to God and praise Him and everything that He has done, is doing, and will continue to do for every one of us. God has a plan for the world, no matter how bleak things seem right now. All we can do is put complete trust in God and love Him with the same passion that He has for us.
