Today's devo on passion really stuck out to me: What are you willing to suffer for? What will you lose sleep for? I remember asking myself these questions years ago and answering them with worldly responses: school, family, etc. None of those things are necessarily bad, but as I've grown I've realized that Jesus is truly the only thing I am willing/want to suffer for. All of those other things stem from my passion for Jesus.
The devo on loyalty and commitment also stood out to me. As we progress from "this is tough" to "this is impossible" we sense how much Jesus is asking us to commit to him. "Always give yourself fully to the work of the Lord" it says. The wild thing about that statement is that ALL our work can be worship to the Lord. Tying stake knots, cleaning the mikey, doing your homework - it can all be used to worship God - if we make him the center of it!
