I have been thinking about the line from the May 16th devo, "He offends me into a healthy community (His divine community) by humiliating me into humility through His model (His cross) and His appeal to me to follow His example (the cross) in relating."
God calls us to discipline in humility everyday and everywhere. The year is wrapping up for many of us as we transition to the summer and all that entails. As the year wraps up, I feel the temptation not slack off, to get lazy. This devotional has been reminding me of the continual call of Christ to continue to give myself away, all the way to the end!
The Lord honors our discipline. He brings new life after death. The end of the year has also been a time to look back on the richness of Life that the Lord provides. How divine!
