Today's devotional is just perfect for the state we find the world in.
Father, hallowed be YOUR name...not mine.
Father, YOUR kingdom come...not mine.
Father, YOUR will be done...not mine.
Father, give US this day our daily bread....give not me, but US everything we need...not what we want, but we we need. I'm not even sure what WE need Lord so WE trust you to give US what we need.
Father, forgive US our sins...not just me, but US...so that WE may forgive others.
Father, lead US not into the test/temptation, but deliver US...not just me.
The prayer is all about God and His name, His kingdom, and His will.
The more WE pray His prayer, the more clearly WE perceive Him as provider, redeemer, and savior.
