Genuine Love of Christ
“And He said to them, ‘Cast the net
on the right-hand side of the boat and you will find a catch.’ So, they cast,
and then they were not able to haul it in because of the great number of fish.
Therefore, that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, ‘It is the Lord!’”
John 21:1-14
“How do you respond to Jesus when
he invites you to have breakfast with Him? Do you ignore His invitation? Do you
postpone? Do you come to the table out of fear?”
I love the last question of “Do you
come to the table out of fear?” Jesus is calling us because he genuine loves us
and gives us so much mercy and grace, so we are given the freedom to genuinely
love him back and listen to him without fear! I so desperately want to eat
breakfast with Jesus (its one of my favorite meals 😊)
and am grateful that Jesus continually calls out to us no matter what.
Lord, please give me the
willingness and strength to say yes to life with Jesus and love him with no fear
of the future or past. Amen.
