From
sincere love for people: "If you are consumed with bringing out the best
in others you will take yourself far less seriously and take others far more
seriously." I keep coming back to this truth. So often I become consumed
with others seeing the best of myself that end up taking myself way too seriously.
But when I choose to live with the intention of bringing out the best in the
people around me it takes away the pressure to impress them. And then there is
so much freedom to be generous and encouraging (and even a little silly at
times) and to serve without hesitation.
