abide in Him

Some great points made from this weeks devo:

Disciples are never commended for production but for being faithful, regardless of how long or dark the night is! Our lights do not burn out in that darkness. Our robes are always ready to travel no matter what the request of service is. Our agenda is His agenda. Discipline is not the end result but rather the first steps in a long journey. Discipline equals freedom. Freedom to not have to be worried about that day, but rather ready for any and every day to be that glorious day.

We try to be the vine and we plead with Jesus to abide in us. We try to be Jesus rather than letting Jesus be in us!

Jesus helps us understand that we do not know the real condition of our soul. We have this lack of devotion to Him. So often I get caught up in the external devotion to Yahweh that I do not realize I have been flirting with other gods- non gods!



Here is what I hear God saying to me. Discipline equals freedom Maddie. If you root yourself in me you will experience true freedom that this world cannot give. Keep your hands open to receive my ways this summer. Let me work as you get to experience the discipline of living closely with the true God. I will equip you with the strength and fruits of the spirit as you move throughout your day. Abide in me! I know you better than you know yourself. Abide in me and let me reveal things to you about yourself that you would not be able to discover apart from me.

Praying for you all as you prepare for the summer and allow God to move in you. What an amazing thing we get to be a part of! Get excited!!!!!
