The devotional from May 4th really stood out to me. "Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves." This really spoke to me because it is something I need to constantly be reminded of. Throughout my busy day, it can be so easy for me to only think about myself and my immediate needs. College has really put me in a bubble where I feel like I solely think about how I'll finish my pass my classes, get my next meal, and get enough sleep to make it through the day. It's been a challenge for me to remember to think about the outside world and remember there are people struggling in ways I could never imagine. I don't want to live selfishly and I want to give back. I'm so excited to forget about my own needs this summer and give selflessly to high schoolers coming to houseboats.
