Sensitivity

Yesterdays devotional was about how in order to attract, and nurture those that you lead, you must make sure that they exercise their freedom instead of being overbearing and making it evident that you are just trying to use your authority, or call on your knowledge all the time. I feel like this really stood out to me because this will devotional will definitely remind me of how I should lead, instead of how I feel like I should lead. Another aspect of this would be actively praying, asking God to just open the camper's thoughts as the week goes on. A concept that also stood out to me is that we must limit ourselves in order make sure that those that we are leading are getting everything they can out of it. It ties directly into how we are going to be serving this summer: with all devotion and effort towards making the camper's week meaningful. This is something that will be hard for me to maintain as the summer goes on, but I will be sure to ask God for his guidance and wisdom throughout that time.
